A great sushi place. They make great sushi!!! We don't need the menu every time when we go there, we just tell the chef, which is the owner of the restaurant what we want in our sushi rolls. Then he'll make special rolls for us. Servers are very friendly. Anyway, this is the place I definitely recommend to have sushi!!!

My whole family has been back to this location many times since my first review when they opened in 2011. Always good sushi and great service. There was a period that is became so busy that we stopped going since the waits were getting crazy but it all depends on the time and day you go. The Sushi chef is always happy and greets you when you walk in from across the restaurant. The saki is also a good price and served in a great two part bottle to keep cold saki cold. When we are in the mood for Sushi on this side of town we stop here.

I think I am sushi spoiled. Everything was kinda bland. I just moved to ormond beach and am in desperate need of a GREAT sushi place. HELP?!?!?!

Visited on New Years day sadly they were caught off guard with the volume of customers and had insufficient staff and sushi chefs for the volume so it took almost an hour to get our food. In their defense they explained the situation, apologized MANY times, brought us free Edamame, Sake and a crab appetizer so all was forgiven! We were their with a friend we had not seen in a long time so the extra time was actually appreciated as we got to catch up and did not feel rushed off. Staff is very nice and happy to be of assistance. Food was well prepared and was very tasty and we will be back, hopefully when they are staffed appropriately. :)

This is a sushi place to visit, for sure. The only reason I'm taking off a star is because I took advantage of their online ordering system, which was confusing to use, and when I showed up at the restaurant 30 minutes later, my order was sitting in their printer and I had to wait another 25 minutes for it to be made, and all I was offered was an apology. It's not a huge deal, but enough that it was a big delay for dinner. What they do well: Sushi. It's gorgeous, it's delicious, it's well presented, the portions are great and the way the plates are decorated, and even the to-go food is beyond beautiful. The staff are very attentive and accomodating, the bathrooms are immaculate and the dining room was packed full on a Monday evening. If a restaurant is busy then, you know they're popular. We ordered some of the spiciest rolls they had, and they absolutely delivered. I also tried out the hibachi, but the hoisin they used on the noodles and meat was lacking flavor. Maybe I should have asked for more, but that's just my observation. All in all, I'd absolutely return here, and would recommend anyone considering it to give them a shot.

Passing through the area and craved sushi. Decided on this spot because of their high reviews. Wow, what a treat! Friendly staff and chef and the fish was melt in your mouth fresh. I ordered Chirashi and hubby ordered sashimi. This is our new go to place when passing through.

Clean, well decorated. Friendly service, but the overall flavor is lacking. Ordered 2 spicy salmon rolls: no spice at all, nothing to differentiate it from the regular salmon roll. Also ordered a side of veggie fried rice: the vegetables were obviously from a bagged mix, and similar to something I would concoct in my kitchen. Hopeful, but just missing the mark on freshness and authenticity.

We drive past this all the time on the way to Daytona Beach and decided to drop in and try it tonight. The service was prompt and the food was delicious and fresh. They brought us two clear soups and a deep fried imitation crabmeat appetizer that was on the house, which was generous and very tasty. We then ordered a Kani salad, tuna sashimi, Philly roll, volcano roll, and spicy tuna roll. The tuna was fresh as were all the other rolls. Their cream cheese added great flavor to the rolls. We will definitely be back!

Great sushi in the Daytona area. The sushi always tastes fresh and the staff is friendly. The prices are very reasonable and they have some excellent lunch specials. Don't expect anything too upscale, just solid sushi.

It was good. Decent sushi. The service was okay, heavy accents but they get the job done. The fish wasn't as fresh nor fancy as I expected but it wasn't bad.

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The staff was very friendly and offered free soup and appetizer. The rolls were very fresh and shrimp tempura was delicious. Very clean and quiet restaurant, we will be back!

We selected this place based on the yelp reviews. There wasn't anything fancy at all! It was average. The menu was vague and didn't include any details which could make or break your selections. For example hwy 17 roll had saracha sauce which killed it for me and had it been listed on the menu I would have made another selection. The sweetheart roll came out looking like a vagina and not a heart and was not worth $14.95. Okay experience, may pass on another visit.

Fantastic experience! Warm greeting from the host, waitstaff, AND the sushi chefs. Within 1 min of being seated we were served a complimentary crab roll along with a cup of soup. Service was fast, polite, and friendly. The ambiance and vibe was nice and relaxing. And, the sushi was great. The rolls were on the smaller size from what I've had, but done very well, fresh, and still very filling. I'd recommend this place for a great budget-friendly sushi dining experience. And from the looks of the other dishes I saw, they excel at more than just sushi. Sidenote: bathrooms were among the nicest and cleanest I've ever seen.

Great sushi spot right near I-95 in Ormond Beach found through Yelp. Extremely friendly staff, nice decor & some great freebies (crab roll, clear soup) make this a must stop to any sushi fan looking for something good in the Volusia County area. The sushi rolls we tried were all great but were a little smaller than ones we normally have at our Orlando area favorites. The seaweed salad, kani salad & onion soup were good too. The only thing they can improve on would be their dressing on the house salad was somewhat bland. We will definitely be back!

So as soon as I enter this place I realize it's really clean and doesn't smell like fish so I took a seat for an eleven o'clock lunch. The wifi connection is locked so I used the frozen yogurt connection next door and it was pretty speedy, like my food order. The food was good and I liked that the staff barley speak English- real deal. I had the chirashi, it was great but I should have ordered a side of rice with it because it just isn't enough food; even with the soup, salad, and that free crab roll. I don't give stars away so don't be fooled, this lil gem deserves your visit.

Went here on lunch hour. Service was fast and very friendly. Never had to wait for them to fill my drink (a strong pet peeve). Food was delicious and very nicely presented. They served some sort of complimentary special roll while we were waiting for our order and whatever it was, it was delicious. Like one or two others reported, their ginger dressing is REALLY lacking in flavor and is extremely bland. Small but not claustrophic-in fact, spacious. Very clean and pleasing to the eye. I never do reviews but this place impressed me overall. DEFINITELY going back. SOON.

Not just a Sushi Bar restaurant, they have Tempura, Katsu, Hibachi Grill & Teriyaki entrees for lunch & dinner as well. Have been many times since they opened and always a great experience with top notch prepared food, VERY large portions and wonderful presentations. Not sure where the person saying the Tempura is greasy gets their from, but just had some today and it was great. Do try this place, even if you are not a sushi lover, as the hibachi shrimp, scallops, steak and chicken served with wonderful Japanese noodles & vegetables are fabulous. And the free "Holiday" cooked shrimp appetizer (as they call it) it wonderful

Very good and reasonably priced. Excellent attentive servers. The complimentary onion soup and crab appetizer were a pleasant surprise. We had a volcano roll with conch and the teriyaki snapper lunch special. The snapper was perfectly cooked and served on a bed of all dente zucchini, carrot, onion.

Good service as always. Get soup and holiday roll with lunch order in the house which is nice. Holiday roll is delicious, didn't see in the menu but was able to order a additional one as well. Had sushi which was good. Everyone else had the shrimp and chicken lunches with rice which they all said was good as well.

Great stop for the weary traveler. We were on a road trip to tour places for our wedding venue and needed some food! Not bad sushi at all. Not the best we've had, but rolls were very tasty and well prepared. We decided to stick with cooked rolls as we didn't know how fresh the raw fish would be. Overall, we would recommend trying it. Super friendly staff and the complimentary soup and holiday roll were great. Got the Rock N Roll and the Crunchy roll.

I just moved to the beach but was on the West side of town. Stumbled upon this place. GREAT sushi! I'll be back. Worth the drive. They gave me miso soup and a crab appetizer on the house which was a nice surprise.

Great service, great food! And their lunch special is great! I usually order to-go, and for $8 (before tip), I get some chicken or pork katsu with grilled veggies, fried rice, soup and salad. Everything is made fresh and I have never had any issues.
